Papers
Hazel Rowley’s Papers in relation to her Christina Stead biography were lodged with the National Library of Australia (NLA) in 1996. In 2003 a group of letters from Edith Anderson to Hazel were incorporated within Series 2 of Hazel’s papers. The NLA acquisition file shows that Hazel played some part in the NLA’s acquisition of letters between Edith Anderson and Christina Stead. The rest of Hazel Rowley’s Papers in relation to her biographies of Richard Wright, Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre, and Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, as well as her Papers in relation to her other writing were lodged with the NLA in 2023. These include an original letter of Simone de Beauvoir and original letters of Christina Stead.
